Boston based Faces on Film were formed back in 2004 by Mike Fiore and gigged around Boston, New York, and Chicago. Early recordings surfaced in 2005 on the LP 'Seven Sisters' and in 2008 a new line-up of Fiore, David Hinckley, Elio DeLuca, Gavin McCarthy, and Aaron Trail issued Digital Download release 'The Troubles'.

Since his death on New Years Day 1997, cult singer songwriter Townes Van Zandt has gained renewed interest and appreciation. Between 1968 – 1994 he released material on Poppy, Tomarto and Sugar Hill. His material has been covered by the likes of Emmy Lou Harris, Norah Jones, Bob Dylan, The Meat Puppets as well as Merle Haggard & Willie Nelson. In 2006 the documentary Be Here To Love Me: A Film About Townes Van Zandt directed by Margaret Brown was released through Palm Pictures. Recently, Townes' back catalogue was reissued through Fat Possum Records.
